Mollusk Photo Exhibit

March 04, 2013, Posted in San Francisco

For all of you who have followed this blog for almost two years - you know that we have some very talented photographers in our midst. Most of the photos you've enjoyed are courtesy of our beloved Cody Welsh. We want to give him a little shout out because he will never do it for himself. Not only did he take so many amazing photos all year, he was also our sound guy on the film - talk about multi-tasking. Besides being one of the most talented and creative people we've ever known, he is also the calmest, most humble and funniest person. These are qualities that make a really good travel companion!

Since returning from the production Cody has been working with us in San Francisco and we're so lucky to get to keep him around. His main focus this last month has been putting together The Goodwin Project Photo Exhibit, on display at Mollusk Surf Shop in San Francisco until March 18th. With the help of Director Jess Bianchi and Assistant Editor Ronnie Silva, the Goodwin Project experience came to life using found objects from the journey and recycled custom made wood frames.  Be sure to check out the installation at 4500 Irving Street and also stay tuned for more shows to come…

Final Fiji Blog

November 13, 2012, Posted in Fiji

And finally, a glimpse from the end of our time in Fiji, which was also the final week of the entire 14-month production extravaganza! This was a very bittersweet time, knowing that soon we'd all be back to life as usual and our crew split between California and Hawaii. While most productions might spend their final days winding down, we went out with a bang, or rather a whirl. Helicopter shoots are always tricky to coordinate but without telephones or internet this particular one took the cake. But like every challenge we faced this year, the footage was well worth the stress. The hassle of packing up our little slice of heaven was less rewarding since it meant leaving the most beautiful place we've even been. While these photos are beautiful, no photo can do justice to the maginificance of these islands and the warmth of the people who call them home.
